What should I know about nursing or traveling with formula and other baby items?

We support nursing parents and families traveling with infants.

Formula & Baby Items
•    Formula, breast milk, toddler drinks, and baby food (including pouches) over 3.4 oz are allowed in carry-on bags
•    Check TSA.gov for screening guidelines

Breastfeeding & Breast Pumps
•    Nursing is welcome onboard
•    Breast pumps and breast milk can be brought in addition to your personal item
•    Many airports offer nursing rooms — check the airport’s website for locations

Traveling with Lap Infants
•    Infants under 2 can travel for free on your lap
•    A birth certificate may be requested for age verification
•    Lap infants can’t sit in seats with airbag seat belts (usually row 1)
•    Only one lap child per adult is allowed
If traveling alone with two infants, one must have a paid seat and FAA-approved car seat
